It’s a combination of my cue ball.position and making the ball. My pre shot routine makes sure iam not thinking about anything else then that. Due to training you recognize and know what’s possible with different strokes, speed and tip position. But the main objective in a match and match training is that you let muscle memory take over and not think about technique or doubts when down on the shot. Task acceptaion, feel and execute.

Pretty much what Nick said. All of the decisions have been made. Those decisions have informed your stance, grip position, bridge length, cue tip position. After that your "machine" that you trained over a million shots takes over. You are focusing on aim and cue ball destination. Your "machine" will strike the ball at that point and with the speed to make that happen. If any thinking is going on its only to remember to be calm, breathe and stay still.
